Beautiful course but timekeeping was terrible. Waiting every hole made a beautiful day take over 5 plus hours. Management needs to space out groups better and charge more to make up the difference.

I booked 18 holes with my friend and was looking forward to a nice day. We ended up getting caught in construction and arrived just on time, pulling in on the dot of our tee time. We walked in a singular minute past our booked tee time and the gentleman at the counter offered to help us once we talked a different gentleman in charge of scheduling outside. By this time it was literally two minutes past our tee time- enough time to justify our timing as taking a few extra practice swings or waiting for a party ahead of us. When I explained my scenario and stated I had a reservation, the gentleman outside immediately shook his head and shouted "You're late for your tee time. You boys should have showed up sooner. I can't fit you guys in and I could have you play nine holes instead." The tone was very rude. I had given my card information online while booking the tee time, so this immediately made me nervous. After looking at my friend in shock and wondering what to do, we reluctantly agreed to play nine holes rather than "wait until 1:00 PM"... I find it difficult that our original time slot was forfeited within 2 minutes. The guy afterwards rushed us, pointed at us and said "You gotta scram! Go! Get outta here!" And pointed at a golf cart and yelled at us to take it right away even though we had yet to even get a key. While the golf course has every right to uphold their schedule and policy, it's absolutely ridiculous that two minutes resulted in such a rude response. The delivery was in such a tone that lead me to become under the impression that the gentleman acted in such a way as if he purposefully denied our reservation in order to "teach those young boys a lesson". Completely unnecessary and very rude. It threw our whole day off and I will likely never come here again. I'm extremely disappointed

Played Johnson Park Golf Course today in Racine. Been many a years playing one of favorite courses. The course is stunning and in the best shape i have ever seen tee to green. The greens were 11 plus perfect condition. Fairways cut so short and tight. 9.5 would have been a 10 but the traps were very thin on sand. Under $30.00 riding by far the best course in Wisconsin. No comparison :) :)
