Josh has a background as a pastry chef so his cookies & brownies & dessert are divine but the bread is the BEST. Nothing better than freshly baked bread. I enjoy the sourdough varieties.

Josh Fox Bread has changed the way I look at and consume bread. I even changed my lifestyle to incorporate his unique, delicious, sometimes sinful creations. I’ve never been the same since I’ve eaten one of his pear tarts. It’ll get you! Watch out! ???? I always recommend. If you know quality, you’ll see why.

If you find yourself in the area of spectacular and utopian Arcata, California, do your mind and belly a favor and visit JoshFox bread, the cottage bakery of my dear and supremely talented friend Josh Berger. He was kind enough upon his visit to New York to bring me a loaf of his whole wheat sour, which has been a scrumptious addition to a number of my meals this week. On top of this, I'd like to sternly implore you to, should he rotate his rugelach into a daily offering, ensure that you peacefully accumulate as many as you can, as I can say without bias that his are the most delicious I've ever eaten, in upwards of 37 years of notably Jewish New York life.
