Very nice, leisurely, Mothers day brunch. A little pricey for sure, but the beautifully played, live Spanish guitar music that was being played, more than made up for any it. Enjoyed the different courses that were served. Loved the atmosphere! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Julius is a gem in Erie. Do not miss a chance for a meal here. The cuisine is central and southern Mexican. Oaxacan mole sauce, but with a different twist. We each had versions. Sherry's was dark and served over a beautifully baked salmon. It was more of what we expected from a mole and really good. I had a daily special which was pork tenderloin with a green mole sauce. Cilantro and seasonal peppers gave it a different look. We had shrimp appetizers, served in a garlic butter/oil, but the oil was not overwhelming, allowing the shrimp to come through with the seasonings. We tried both house margaritas, sharing of course, and enjoyed them. They differed only in the tequila, and one was slightly more sour. Loved the food and the evening. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

Shawn,Thank you very much for your one start review and the $4.00 tip. We already REFUNDED you credit card. Our business policy is 100% customer satisfaction. Your server asked you if everything was okay before she gave you your check, paid and left and you did not say a word. You ate 80% of the food on your plate and you finished the margarita. We do not know what your problem was other than apparently since you arrived you were looking for troubles. You requested to have a table for 4 just for yourself we offered a small table and you insisted in a bigger table so you ate alone in a table for 4 people. Your description of our SOPES is not accurate. They are traditional street food in Mexico they are never served with rice. The sopes are handcrafted in our kitchen with fresh masa, the traditional cooking process is like making a fresh corn tortilla then slightly pan fry them, the oil will prevent the sopes from falling apart once that the HOME MADE salsas and other ingredients are put in top. We honestly believe you even did not know how to eat them or what you were eating. I am confident you are the first people we ever served sopes that did not like them or complain about its price. Our margaritas are not made with kerosene, they are also handcrafted with premium tequila añejo and freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice. Never frozen. The luxardo cherries decorating the drink alone costs more than one dollar each for sure. Anyway, we have always known that our CLEAN HISTORICAL place and FRESH food is not for everyone because our quality and pricing. Respectfully, Julio
