It was closed on Thursday. Even tho on Google maps it says its open until 21:00

I cannot fault the food, even though it was the most expensive meal we had in Japan. The problem we had was to do with payment. On the day, the restaurant did not want to accept payment by credit card and did not give a reason, even though their Tabelog booking page states that they accept VISA and Mastercard. I also saw local customers paying by card. With the meal costing nearly $200 per person, I was forced to walk to the nearest convenience store that was 20 minutes away in Yukata and sandals to take out cash. This is unacceptable for a high end restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

この度は、城崎と云う温泉街へ足を運んで頂きお客様の思い出の一つに、華和ゐ 城崎店を選んで頂きまして、誠にありがとうございます。 また、お料理について高く評価していただきましたこと、心より御礼申し上げます。 一方で、お支払方法に関してご不便とご不快な思いをおかけしましたこと、深くお詫び申し上げます。 当日はクレジットカード決済の際、暗証番号（PIN）のご入力が必要な対応となっており、サインでのご利用ができない状況でございました。これは日本のインボイス制度導入に伴う決済対応の変更によるものでございますが、結果として十分なご説明ができておらず、ご不安とご負担をおかけしてしまいました。 本来であれば事前のご案内や、当日の分かりやすいご説明を徹底すべきところ、対応が行き届いておりませんでしたことを重ねてお詫び申し上げます。 今後は海外からのお客様にも安心してご利用いただけるよう、支払方法に関するご案内の明確化およびスタッフの説明体制の強化に努めてまいります。 貴重なご意見をいただき、誠にありがとうございました。 また機会がございましたら、より良いサービスでお迎えできるよう努めて参ります。

Excellent value - we chose the Y21000 with Matsuba crab. The live crab was brought out. Eating it (along with other varieties of crab, seafood), we stumbled out of the restaurant having known what it is to gorge yourself on crab. Never have we hit such levels of overeating on seafood. Free flow drinks were barely touched given the large amount of food provided. Service was excellent. We spoke very poor japanese, with the staff making every effort to speak English. We truly appreciate the hospitality. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
