Visited Brass 15 for a light family lunch, the board outside says ‘drinks & food non stop’. We ordered mozzarella & tomato, with 2 portions of fries and some bread to share between 3. Our order was accepted. Another lady came over to us (who I can only assume was the manager or owner) and told us we could not order more than one side with a main course, wasn’t aware mozzarella & tomato was a main course but we said fine and just accepted 1 fries and cancelled the bread. The food came out with one knife and fork, we asked the waitress for an additional fork, she said ok and went off to get it, came back and said sorry I am not allowed to give an extra fork for one main course !!!! They clearly preferred us to sit there eating with our fingers rather than eating in a dignified way with cutlery. The food was lovely but to firstly say we cannot order extra sides then to say we are only allowed the 1 fork between the 3 of us was unbelievable and laughable at the same time. When the bill came they asked if we are paying by cash or card, we said card, to which they responded we needed to go inside to pay, perfectly acceptable but then to be told they don’t take the card with the circles on I.e. Mastercard !! Would recommend the food but the ethos of the place is unbelievable, could not believe what we was hearing. I would understand this more if it was for dinner but it was lunchtime and not full. Needless to say we won’t be going back, there are plenty of other excellent food places along the same strip who provide good customer service.
