We absolutely loved the food! The zucchini fritters were incredibly delicious and easily one of the best dishes we had. We ate at Kafenes and were very impressed. The portions were incredibly generous, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back! Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came across this lovely place late at night on the very first day of our trip with a group of friends. We actually thought they were closing since there was only one table left, but they warmly welcomed us anyway. Feeling a bit mindful of the late hour, we ate quite quickly, but we enjoyed it so much that we ended up visiting three times during our six-day vacation! The portions are very generous. The Greek salad is incredibly delicious—I honestly have no idea what they put in the dressing, but I’m super curious! As someone coming from Turkey, I absolutely loved the kebab; to be honest, I hadn’t eaten anything this delicious under the name of "kebab" even back home. It was truly the finest form of meat. The chicken skewers were also wonderful, and all the appetizers were fantastic. It was our first time trying fava warm, and we fell in love with it—we ordered and finished it every single night! On our last visit on Friday, the place was fully booked and we hadn't thought about making a reservation. Luckily, the owner (or manager) mentioned a cancellation and kindly managed to set up a table for us. Another detail I loved is the setting: the restaurant faces a charming square shared with two other venues, with tables arranged in a really unique way. Eating such delicious food, chatting with the friendly staff, and seeing everyone's smiling faces made the whole experience unforgettable. Even though we were always the last table to leave and felt a bit bad about staying late, I genuinely didn't want to leave at all! The food portions were quite small. If we hadn’t eaten at restaurants on other islands, we might have thought this was normal, but the portions were genuinely small. We ordered saganaki, red mullet, calamari, meatballs, and chicken. For example, the calamari came without any sauce or side dish, whereas in Samos calamari is always served with a sauce. We also ordered meatballs, and only the meatballs were served — there were no fries, tomatoes, or any side items at all. At the end, complimentary ice cream was served, which we appreciated, so thank you for that as well. Price per person: €15–20 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
