A small izakaya owned by one master in his 70s(maybe). Roughly 10 minute on foot from Atami station to get here.When I visited there, the master served me some nice and unusual delicacies which are not on the menu. The first one was "ゆべし(Yubeshi)/Dried Japanese yuzu-citrus rind", the second was "あさひがにのみそあえ(Asahi gani no miso ae)/Red frog crab butter mixed with its crab meat". and 桜エビの塩辛(Sakura ebi no shiokara)/Salty fermented Sakura-shrimp. All items are served as small portion of appetizers. That was really flavorful(^O^).As I having beer with master's nice delicacies, he told me that he has been doing business at this place for 40 years.After all, not only its delicious dishes but also I really enjoyed the story about Atami's history by master's talking.
