Menya Katsuki is a ramen restaurant serving up a wide variety of ramen types. They’re best known for their traditional salt and Chicken Toripaitan. They advertise their chicken as “rich” so that sounded good to me; I went for the large portion for 980¥ and an additional 350¥ for the full topping version. Slightly pricey, but how was it?While it wasn’t quite as “rich” with chicken flavor as I hoped, it was nonetheless very delicious, as the broth had a nice, salty, savory taste. The noodle portion was good for the large and the noodles were light and thin. The chashu was good and soft, but a bit dry and the slices were rather small. The kicker was the side of yuzu kosho (yuzu citrus pepper), which gave the whole ramen an extra dimension. The only letdown for the meal was the flavorless egg.Overall, I was happy with my order and I look forward to trying their other options!
