There are some restaurants in Karachi that have been around for decades and still continue to attract families, students, office-goers, and late-night food lovers alike — and Kaybees is definitely one of them. Famous for its club sandwiches, sizzling platters, BBQ, burgers, and especially its classic ice cream, Kaybees has built a loyal following across generations with multiple branches spread throughout Karachi. Their club sandwich remains one of the most recognizable items on the menu and still gives proper nostalgic Karachi café vibes. The sandwich is generously layered with chicken, egg, lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy mayo between soft toasted bread, served alongside crispy fries that make it a complete comfort meal. The portion size is satisfying and perfect for sharing over tea or cold drinks. The sizzling BBQ platter was another highlight. Served on a hot cast-iron plate over onions, the seekh kababs arrived smoky, juicy, and properly charred from the outside while remaining soft inside. The aroma alone makes the table turn toward the dish the moment it arrives. Their sizzlers and BBQ items have always been among the strongest reasons people keep returning here. Today I ordered chicken chowmein from Kaybees Machs, and the experience was very disappointing. The dish was extremely oily—it felt like oil with chowmein, not chowmein with oil. Nearly a quarter of the portion was just oil, which made it unpleasant to eat. I’m not sure why the quality has dropped, but this is not the standard I expect. I hope you look into this and ensure better quality and consistency in the future. Price per person: Rs 1,000–2,000 Food: 1
