I work for the Food Safety Authority(in a different country, and I am currently visiting Manchester after a very long time. This KFC was the only halal-friendly option nearby, so my aunt and I decided to eat here. Unfortunately, I was genuinely shocked by the level of service. I don’t think I have ever experienced customer service this poor. I placed my order, and while I was waiting, a homeless man approached me and politely asked if I could buy him something to eat. Of course, I agreed. I ordered a wrap meal for myself and an extra burger for him. The staff behind the counter became confused and insisted that I had not ordered a burger at all. I repeatedly tried to explain that I had ordered it and had already paid for it, but they refused to listen. Instead, they started raising their voices at me while I remained calm and continued trying to explain the situation. Eventually, they realized that I had in fact ordered and paid for the burger. By the time they sorted everything out, the rest of my meal had gone cold. I therefore asked them to replace the entire meal because the mistake was theirs. When I finally went to sit down, I noticed the staff laughing at me. Even the manager laughed directly at me, which I found extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The employee who took my order apologized, but when I explained that the whole situation had become unacceptable, several members of staff simply stared at me in a hostile manner. I have no intention of ever returning to this restaurant. As someone who works in food safety every single day, I found not only the customer service unacceptable, but also the fact that I was expected to eat cold food because of the staff’s mistake. I will be reporting this incident because I believe the relevant authorities should inspect this restaurant and its standards. really bad experience! i went there and immediately get treated horribly by staff, especially Francis. I tried to order and asked him if he had any recommendations since i rarely have kfc. However, he gave me a dirty look and told me to “hurry up and make a decision, i don’t have time for this”. upon ordering i tried to pay and he said there was no contactless so i tried to get my card out. Once again Francis got annoyed and said “oh my god can you be any slower right now” which really put me off. never coming back Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
