So, when it comes to restaurants and food in general, I tend to be very picky. My girlfriend and I went to King Tin Restaurant tonight (our second time here, but our first time at the new location). Recall that my opinion is critical and I tend to be very picky. The food at this restaurant, in my opinion was excellent! The food was fresh, the taste was that of traditional Chinese (you will find some Chinese restaurants may prepare their food in more of a North American style / taste) and the presentation was excellent!!! I had the crab meat and fish maw soup, a deep fried seafood dish and a large oyster with sauce. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant (we came approximately an hour before they closed), the service was attentive and quite friendly. As far as Chinese restaurants are concerned, this restaurant is HIGHLY recommended, especially if you're seeking more of a traditional Chinese type of flavour.

Went to the new location for Sunday brunch, nice to see traditional dimsum offering on a cart. You don't see this in Toronto too often. All the food tastes like freshly made. Bravo to the owners for reopening such a fine eatery.

Please note - this is not a review. This is to advise that the King Tin Restaurant will be reopening at their new location in a couple or three weeks, they said. They are in the midst of setting it up. The new address is 318 Spruce St. Waterloo, On. 519-497-8322. We have really been missing the Dim Sum weekends and some of the menu dishes that nobody else in the area prepares. Be good to see them back in the saddle again.
