As a Sri Lankan who truly loves food, I can say this place stands out. The food is exceptional, blending authentic flavors with creative fusion dishes in a way that feels fresh and memorable. The ambiance is equally impressive, set within a beautiful heritage building that adds so much character to the experience. This is exactly what Kandy was missing. Tried King’s Court by Hideout Lounge in Kandy,right in front of the Temple of the Tooth and honestly had a really good experience. We ordered hoppers with cuttlefish,mutton curry with roti and soursop juices. Everything tasted great, but the curries really stood out super flavorful and nicely cooked.The soursop juice was also really refreshing. We also tried the jackfruit cutlets which were really tasty and had a dessert with jaggery and saffron ice cream they make there,really nice way to finish the meal. The staff were very friendly and kept checking on us throughout the meal.Special thanks to Ushan for being so kind and attentive. Overall,really nice food and great service Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited King’s court for their fine dining lunch experience and had an absolutely stellar time. I was looking for a unique experience in Kandy for Mother’s Day and King’s Court did not dissapoint in any way. Everything from the architecture to the food and service was perfect. The restaurant was set up nicely and very clean too. The service was really great, the manager, Micheal and our Server, Chanuka were very hospitable and personable. Chanuka deserves a special mention as he went above and beyond what was expected, especially for someone as young as him. The food was tasty and presented in a really clean and elegant way and clearly portrayed the concept that it was going for. Coming from someone who lived in Kandy for the majority of his life, these are the kind of experiences that Kandy desperately needed. The kind of experience that show and celebrate the unique identity and culture of this place. I’ll definitely be visiting again, especially with friends from abroad, as it’s one of the best ways to share the culture and charm of Kandy with them.
