Just had fish and chips with lovely tasting fish that had a really light crispy batter along with some home cut chips - all very enjoyable

Passing through the area and decided to pop in and see if they served food. Happily they did. The staff were excellent, the decor was of a well presented traditional pub. The menu was relatively small, which in my view was the sign of them sticking to what they are good at;Simple but fantastic tasting food. I wasn’t disappointed. Homemade mince and dumplings with mash potato with my friend opting for chicken parlour and a pint of juice each. We have both visited restaurants worldwide and when the bill was presented £19, We wouldn’t have blinked if it was twice that price. They were superb quality servings. The only criticism I have of the venue is that they show little or no advertising as to what they offer. I rarely leave reviews, but social media is full of so much vitriol, that it was worth writing a five star rating given the factors I’ve just mentioned. Thank you for a memorable visit.
