Sky walk then craving for some caffeine, after missing the bus and not liking the look of the auto coffee we set off for this place. Short walk down hill and your welcomed by this wonderful coffee and cake shop. Feeling maybe a little out of place sat next to the road you find a dark wood building with bright red doors walking in and a place again out of place transported from Japan to a find wood panneled room with soft velvet furnishings and classical music fining off the uniquely European feeling. Wanting a latte kind of drink we ordered the espresso with foam milk (as Google translated) and what we got was very much as advertised. Wonderful flavoured coffee with velvet smooth, sweet foam lounging on top. Mix the two or not up to you what you want to make your drink. The cakes looked great but with one eye on the bus stop just outside we had to give them a miss. You may want to skip if your in a rush but if you have time to sit and soak in and enjoy the decore then it's worth while. Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After 5 days travel Izu Hanto peninsula, last stop was lake Ashi Hakone, then we found out the most interesting cafe, sweet cake shop on the famous national hwy 1. Cafe Konzert is 30min from Kannani town, or 30 min away from Ashi lake, 3-5 min from Mishima sky walk. Location is right on the highway with available 8-10 parking for car, the Konzert stands out the dark green wooden house with red door. The stylist and beautiful is not many shop can be the same today. Stepping in side then it is like we immerse to the fairy land, in the story books or in fancy dream land. Decor , color , setting all are tasteful and relaxing mood. Welcome us by sweet gentle lady's and the classic music , we all can feel the kokoro of the owners and Konzert's . Coffee, juices and cheesecake are all well prepared. Have been many coffee cake shops we know the quality and craftsmanship of this young owner. She has been on top of workmanship. She really put in all for the Konzert and the cakes she made each time. We are so overwhelmed and happy with the Konzert's. It is small , not busy yet but it is a rare gem. On the way continuing to our trip to Ashi lake we placed the order for to go the extra cheesecakes, almond cookies. And later we found out how wonderful of the almond cookies from this Konzert's . Just 4 years since the cafe opens but the quality and the tasteful cakes can tell the difference. Once a year we will promise to stop by again and will wish you your best luck, best successful with your lovely Konzert. Thank you for serve us with your sweet kindness and good smiles of your two.
