Just left here and was excited to visit because me and my son hadn't been here in a long time before their closing due to their accident. I told the lady , how happy we were to be able to return and how happy I was to see that they were still open , even though they were going through a building collapse. I noticed.They had printed out new prices for the menu that were not there before the crash. I wanted a whole order of shrimp fried rice , which she said that it was 9.35 on the menu and she told me with cash , it would be 10.25 and with a credit card , it would be 10.75. I guess because I was asking her about the difference in the menu prices, cash prices and the credit card prices,She got upset and I told her I don't mind paying whatever the portion is.I just think that I should be able to ask how everything is broken down. So it would make sense to me , because we haven't been here in a long time , and I see that everything went up. She slammed the plastic counter door in my face and her husband came to the front. He spoke but when he didnt care to see what was going on so we left. He came out the front door looking for us but it was uncalled for. Won't be returning.

Amazing food! Been coming here for years. I’d always hope my mom would bring back fried rice from THIS PLACE. Now I’m older and I still look forward to coming!!

Asian food made fresh and to order! Low prices, NOT low quality food! Kowloon Chop Suey is a very Saint Louis style Asian cuisine restaurant (often coined as "Chinese food" which is what they serve here). The location is extremely humble, but that's exactly what the low key atmosphere is. It's the type of place you literally drive by a few times while running errands. The cooks are talented, the food is made fresh and tastes delicious. Kowloon's Chop Suey does serve adult size portions, you're not coming here to lose weight. :) Lastly remember your meal is made to order, so don't leave out any details when telling them how you want the food prepared. They take cash or card. For affordable, "Real" Saint Louis style rice, noodles, chicken, St.Pauls, crab rangoon and more come here.
