***set menu that hits and misses, with a standout wellington*** Le Puss delivers a mostly refined experience with our one server/maitre’d /sommelier/ busser (who clearly has passion and been with realstaurant for 6 yrs) Ambiance felt like a proper home with decors carefully thought out. Bread -had a great crunch. Octopus ceviche - was literally one bite, dominated by lingering kaffir lime (lemongrass) notes long after the nano sized octopus dissipated. Caviar and salmon - distinctly smoky, deeply umami, wrapped in a crispy jacket. Pumpkin soup - nicely spiced with warm cinnamon notes, though served below warm. Duck breast - the low point. Underseasoned, chewy with too much ligament and tendon. Wellington steak - Perfecto. Worth the extra 800 NT. Luxurious, savory, and beautifully balanced with earthy mushrooms and salty prosciutto in crisp, buttery puff pastry. Desserts ended strong: Mont Blanc on chocolate was creamy and delicious.
