La Bonne Bouche is pretty near Downtown Lake Worth. Visitors say that they like French cuisine here. Enjoy amazing French onion soups, they are quite delicious. The advisable dish is fabulous pastry. The high ratings of this restaurant wouldn't be possible without the friendly staff. It's a nice restaurant with the good service. The atmosphere is charming, many people enjoy the concept of La Bonne Bouche. Though you should take into account that most Zomato users rated this place below average.

This restaurant is recently under new management and it's just great.... a little bit of Europe in Lake Worth (I live in Europe). The new owner is charming and obviously cares a great deal about his food ..give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

We were a party of four who ate dinner in La Bonne Bouche Bistro on Thursday 3/23/17 in Lake Worth, Florida. The restaurant is beautifully done both on the outside patio and indoor decor. It reminded me of some of the beautiful bistros in Paris and numerous restaurants and bistros in the environs of France over the years. It was Thursday evening and it was raining. The free valet service was excellent, making our arrival a pleasure.
My wife and I started out with a Kir Royale and a nice, albeit young, Bordeau wine by the glass. In time, the sharp edge faded on the Bordeau. We both ordered onion soup, which was rather bland. The onions were not properly caramelized and the use of chicken broth didn't add that sweet character that is so essential for a successful Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée. The soup crock was small, and there was little evidence of much cheese, gruyere or otherwise. What cheese that was in the crock was minimal to be sure. The duck dish was fine; delicious and tender with just the right amount of potatoes accompanied by a delicious mouse. The "plat principal" could have been hotter, but in balance was fine. We shared a mille-feuille which was delicious. Samu took care of us and was outstanding. Unfortunately, our order was taken by the owner, who marred the evening with his strangely brusque attitude. An attitude that is noted in other reviews of this bistro. There is no justification for rudeness. I do not encounter it in France, nor in other restaurants around the world; and I've eaten in very fine restaurants.
We did ask that each couple receives their own check at the end of the meal, something that is "de rigueur," when requested. We were flatly turned down by the owner without an explanation. He did this through Samu who was clearly embarrassed that the owner turned us down. The restaurant emptied out as we ate. When my wife asked kindly that her onion soup be "nice and hot, please," the owner tersely told her that he would not make any special effort. I quote " the food is as it is, I can not take any special requests." Again an inappropriate remark. Finally, we were told that 20% would be added to our bill as a "service comprise." In France, "service comprise" is at 15% by law, and while gratuities are included for large parties in the US, usually more than six, I've never encountered such a charge in the US or in France at 20%.
Now to be sure, I normally will tip 20% or even more for good service. But it was apparent that a 20% fee helps to compensate for the owner's "attitude" and the normal tips that would ensue, hence. Our bill for a simple diner came to 164.36 inclusive of the 20 % automatic tip. Florida law requires the restaurant proprietor to disclose the "tip" but the chalkboard penmanship was so small that the tip amount was not visible unless one used a magnifying glass. So our full table of four paid 328.72. At that level, the finer restaurants will make you feel welcome and even "important." That is the "sine qua non" of a so-called good restaurant or finer hotel establishment. So given the high prices, adequate but not superior food and in particular the nasty attitude of the owner, I can not recommend this restaurant. This place has been in business for a while and has tremendous potential. A bit of kindness goes a long way. It would be wise and even more profitable for the owner to follow suit.
