Vinimos expresamente a cenar a este restaurante desde 20km de distancia. El horario publicado es de 18:00 a 22:00. Llegamos 20:40 y nos dicen que no podemos cenar porque la cocina ya está cerrada. Asi que nos fuimos a un mcdonalds que hay a un par de kilómetros, una pena. Service: 1

De las pocas veces que he comido pasta fuera de Italia y que era como si estuviera en Italia. Buena pasta, buen vino, magnifica atención al público, y muy bien de precio. Mención especial a la cocinera, la camarera, y la forma de enfriar el vino!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €70–80

At the suggestion of good friends, we went to dinner with them at “La Caletta” in Calw yesterday. Nice little restaurant in a rustic style located right on the market square in the old town. When I looked at the menu available online in advance, “spaghetti made from a parmesan wheel” immediately caught my eye. Having already eaten it a few times in various places, this actually quite simple dish is always a real treat for lovers of Italian cuisine. In addition, there is always something about how these noodles are prepared at the table. Depending on the season, you can choose between truffles. Unfortunately it wasn't in season and so it was the version without this noble mushroom. Beforehand, the daily menu included a bruscetta with gorgonzola, candied walnuts and pear. Gorgonzola and pear really are a unique symbiosis and can only be recommended. The starter was also a real culinary delight. 2 stars for that. Now it was with great anticipation that the spaghetti in question arrived. The expectations were probably too high. The parmesan wheel arrived rolled up. There was also spaghetti in a bowl and pasta water in a glass carafe. Somehow both of them have been standing somewhere for too long and then in front of our eyes and therefore too long before they can be prepared. In any case, the pasta water could no longer dissolve the previously dissolved cheese shavings. The noodles were apparently no longer able to do this either. These had probably been quenched beforehand, otherwise they would have at least absorbed some of the sauce and would have been a little stickier after this time. In any case, the cheese wheel didn't produce what was expected. The noodles barely absorbed any sauce. So it was always spaghetti in pasta water with cheese flavor. The slightly melted cheese remained in the loaf and was then spooned onto the top of the spaghetti. No green, just a little pepper on the edge of the plate, this something was served. Once I tried to turn the spaghetti over, everything ended up on the plate. The spaghetti was not at all able to accept the sauce. What remained was a plate with about 80% of the cheese in a watery broth. It was lumpy, which never reminds me of parmesan in terms of both taste and consistency. An original Parmigiano Reggiano or, alternatively, a Grana Padano would neither taste nor look like this. The cheese was significantly milkier and the consistency and taste was more reminiscent of mozzarella, which is not available as a cheese wheel. So I can't really say what kind of cheese was served, but it didn't remind me of Parmesan. That's why I can't recommend this dish at “La Caletta”, even though my mouth is still watering when I think about my previous experiences with it. The other dishes that were served at our table were largely met with approval, although some actions still raised one or two questions. So it ultimately remains at 2 well-intentioned stars.
