As a foodie from NY, this gumbo was the only edible food I had during my week in sharpsburg. Service was great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Chicken and Sausage Gumbo

5 stars across the board! My friend & I dined at La Fayette's bon temps for lunch today & oooooooooweee it was good!! The restaurant is located in the city center of Fayetteville with free parking (always a plus). The ambience & decor was nice, it had a great vibe. Our server Shelly was fantastic! We both ordered the Nola Hurricane to drink - yummy & fruity with a sneaky kick to it. For lunch, we both ordered the Big D's Baskets & both enjoyed them. I had the combo - catfish & fried oysters with a side of onion rings & spinach. Man-o-man, it was delicious! Everything was hot & fresh & cooked to order. The oysters were fried to perfection, not hard & not too soft. The catfish was flaky & hot, just like I like it. The spinach was surprisingly very good! Some places will give you unseasoned or watery (pre-frozen) spinach, but not La Fayette's bon temp! No ma'am! Great food & great prices, I will be back. Laissez le bon temps rouler!
