The whole experience was amazing. For the star our server Nikole was so good. She was so personable, professional, and knew her stuff. The atmosphere is so unique and fun. And the food... oh the food. So we started off with the baked brie with all the works, so yummy. Then we had the escargo, they were prepared perfectly and we're not chewy at all and the sauce was very good. For my main course I had the boar which was good but my mother had the venison. The venison was perfectly cooked as well but what really set it apart was the sauce that was on it. This sauce was one of the top 10 best sauces I have ever had. I have been a chef most of my life and have made pepper sauces myself but this one was so so good. If it wasn't frowned upon I would have picked the plate clean. As a chef I recommend this place and hope to come back. Price per person: $100+ Recommended dishes: Baked Brie with Baguette Slices, Escargot Au Champagne, Pomme Purée

It’s fairly easy to find a “good” restaurant, somewhat harder to find “great” restaurant, and even harder still to find an “excellent” restaurant. But there are however, once in a blue moon, dining experiences like La Forêt that truly make an impression and leave you wishing you could turn back time a few hours so that you could experience it all with an empty stomach again. The combination of flavors, textures, presentation, ambiance, attentive & friendly service, and decor was faultless. I’m normally a very fast eater, but I slowed down just to savor every second. My waitress, Alannah, made sure I was well taken care of. She helped me make food and drink decisions and generally gave me tips on how to better enjoy Denver. The highlight (which was difficult to determine, as it was all so incredible) had to be the French onion soup. It was the best FOS I’ve ever had by a distance. If you have yet to stop by, you owe it to yourself to experience La Forêt. The happy hour menu is exquisite, and it would make for an excellent date location. It’s a Denver “must try” destination. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a beautiful restaurant with a fun theme and luxurious restroom. But the food quality is not there. The opening PLATEAU DE LA MER had a dry smoked trout fish dip, and 3 slices of beet cured salmon which were very basic. The plate itself was not flavorful, elegant nor elevated. The next item prosciutto Benedict had a very large crusty piece of butter soaked bread as the base that was almost too tough for the steak knife. Again not elegant or elevated. The caviar on latke was embarrassing, the latke was an excessive portion approximately 6 in long by 2 in wide and very thick with a dollop of crème fraîche and decent tasting caviar. My daughter got the $23 French toast because there is NO kids menu. It was very dark brown and looked burnt. The server did not have fine dining etiquette and although they made a big show of bringing new utensils out for each course, they wouldn’t take the unneeded plates or finished glassware off the very tiny table unless we asked them to, which is awkward. Lastly I ordered a Sparkle Pony thinking it was a derivative of an Aperol spritz. It was a small bottle of Miller High Life which they brought to the table without a glass, and a tiny stemmed shot glass with the extra Miller High Life. Overall very disappointing — NOT a fine dining experience. Price per person: $70–80 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
