we arrived for dinner, without reservation, but we got a table in minutes. than we had to wait 25 minutes even to order drinks, and 10 more to order food. we got a basket of bread, but not even olive oil. we waited over 1 and half hour for 4 normal meals and the restaurant wasn’t even full. we was like finally because we were starving at that point. it was a ridiculous portion even for a teenage girl, not to mention an adult man. the food was okay even if it wasn’t enough, but there wasn’t enough salt and seasoning in it. the fist and lobster needed some lemon too. the potato was good and the prosecco was great. the staff was nice but they had too many tables for two people. no t to mention the price value ratio. do better, i could be a so much better restaurant. We visited La Locanda Da Maria on our first night in Peschiera del Garda. It was in the heart of the old town and very easy to find. The restaurant is quite different to many of the traditional Italian restaurants in the local area, with a really fresh and modern look to both the restaurant and the menu too. The food was fantastic, with the entire table enjoying everything that was ordered. A particularly enjoyed my Pork Belly which was very tasty. My only comment is it could have had a few more vegetables. The bread selection with the first course was also surprisingly delicious and impressive. It’s on the more expensive side of restaurants in the local area, but it’s also a step up on what’s on offer. I would highly recommend a meal if you’re looking for a special meal or you’re looking for a nice date night.
