The setting of this establishment is undeniably charming and the dishes offered are quite good, however, the value for money leaves something to be desired. Although the prices are high, the expected quality is not always there. The service does not live up to expectations. The icing on the cake was the strange behavior of the waiter who pushed us to tip, which seemed inappropriate given the disappointing service. How amazing when you open the door and enter this cozy restaurant. The cozy furnishing and decoration that would expect from a mountain lodge. A lot of candle holders, old pictures and many cowhides. There is no comparable restaurant in the ski area of Val d'sere.You will be welcome at your table with salami, nuts and chips, and the service is outstanding. The chef showed us fresh truffles from the south of France and prepared delicious omelettes with them. Absolutely recommendable the burgers, especially with foie gras. They serve it with fresh fries, and please ask for the special pepper mix... The various salads are just the right joice for those with small hunger. In any case, you must not leave this restaurant without having tasted the delicious chocolate dessert with cream.The wine list is very well sorted and Dede is the perfect sommelier for good recommendations. There is everything your heart desires. With Génépi, the special liqueur of the french alps, it is possible to absorb a little bit the taste of alpsummer.Dede is a multilingual, funny and sociable chef, who knows how to treat his guests with a special generosity. Take care, when he is serving Jaegermeister...Never forget to do a reservation in advance!!!We had a great time there. One week long we had really bad weather conditions and were so happy when the lift opens to get to La Peau de Vache. The whole team had a lot of effort and all hands were busy freeing the mountain hut from the snow.We will be back latest January 2019.
