What a wonderful meal in a beautiful location. Fred (Head Chef) was unbelievably accommodating for the "menu du marche" for the kids, creating "le fish and chips" with the monkfish that was the main and an amazing tempura batter. 19 for starters, 28 for mains and 9 for dessert off the a la carte would be expensive if not for the 40 for all 3. Plus the extra treats in between were incredible! Check out the pictures of the tomato/moz, tiny goats cheese balls and amazing quails eggs with a lovely tapenade topping. Chantilly cream with a spicy bisque followed as another little extra and was an amazing lesson in balance of spice and cream. Simple touches like the herbs used from the garden (Fred came out and picked them for the special bearnaise he made for the kids fish and chips!) elevated all the dishes. The duck tartare was perfectly seasoned with peanuts providing a lovely textural counterpoint I could describe everything in detail as it was an absolutely fantastic meal. I do not understand why this place would anything other than 5 stars. Michelin style for 1/3 of the price in a wonderfully relaxed setting, it doesn't get better
