I hit up La Reyna de la Cocina since I’ve been seeing her amazing pictures floating around the foodie group, and I’m so stoked I did! Everything is exactly as I wanted it to be ???? The birria itself is mild and delicious, and the consommé is perfect; it has the right amount of mild heat with layers and layers of flavor.
She gave us tacos and quesadilla/mulitas-ish tacos, with perfect guacamole and salsa on the side. The salsa is spicy! It tastes like really fresh and sweet tomatoes with a saltiness and a pop of spice, we LOVED it.
Lastly, the BEANS. I will eat just about any half-decent rice and beans when I go out to Mexican food, but my favorite beans are always ones just like this - mild in flavor (they don’t need a shit-ton of extra spice or anything covering up their natural flavor), and creamy in consistency. And of course, topped with cheese.
If you’re catering a party or for Super Bowl, hit her up! She is seriously the queen of the kitchen!!!!
