I recently visited Lagos Cafe, and while the experience was a bit mixed, there are a few aspects worth noting. The cafe itself is small and distinctly yellow, though the atmosphere wasn't very inviting for a sit-down meal. There weren’t any clear seating arrangements, and it wasn't particularly comfortable—definitely more of a takeout spot than a place to linger and dine. The staff was polite, offering me a recommendation, but the menu felt limited, especially for the prices charged. I ordered the Jollof Rice, which cost $17.84. The meal came with two small pieces of fish, but the overwhelming majority of the plate was rice. While the spice level was enjoyable, the portion balance was disappointing, with far too much rice compared to the fish. The presentation was underwhelming and could use improvement. Overall, I feel like the meal was overpriced for what I received, and I would likely only consider returning for a quick takeout rather than a dine-in experience.
