Had a great experience at this coffee shop. The quality of the coffee was excellent, everything tasted fresh and perfectly made. The staff were professional, friendly, and really knew what they were doing. You can tell they care about both the product and the customers, which is increasingly rare in a world where people can barely microwave competence. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates quality and professional service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Let me start by review by saying that first of all inside you cannot breathe. The air is so stuffy. We asked for a single shot espresso latte we got a double, asked double shot espresso and we got a single shot, whipped cream for iced cocoa and got non. I get mistakes happen but the least you can do is offer to remake it. And if I asked for sugar in the espresso before it is mixed with milk your response shouldn’t be there is at the end, why would I want to taste granulated sugar in an iced latte. Bad service would not recommend to anyone! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Thanks for your review and feedback. All of our espresso pours are standard 2oz double shots. We don't offer to "dress up" customers drinks because everyone has a different preference for sweetness. However, we can offer options next time. We generally offer to remake mistakes and if we didn't we'll make sure to review that protocol to make sure it happens in the future. Previously, a big fan of Lakeside Coffee and always stopped by when passing through Rouse's Point every few months. However, on 20 Feb 2026, I ordered a breakfast sandwich wrap (no meat)and a latte to go for $16.41. Previously, the wraps were delicious. This time I opened it up while driving away and found a chopped up hard boiled egg, no cheese, and it was encased in a wrap that clearly had been microwaved. It was awful. The young woman serving was listless, unenthusiastic, and with overall poor customer service skills. She appeared to be the only person working, running back and forth to the kitchen to prepare food, make coffees, take orders. I won't be back and do not recommend this place. Food: 1 Service: 1 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20
