Just found out they no longer serve their brunch buffet. I am so disappointed. This was the best brunch buffet in my opinion and there is none in San Diego like it. An a la cart menu with items that were just okay? That left me not wanting to go back for brunch. I will miss the delightful experience of an extraordinary and decadent buffet. I would recommend the afternoon tea as a consolation but still not the same.

What a joke! This review would take WAY too long to write due to the list of issues, so I'll keep this one short. Service was terrible, got served the wrong drink. Correct drink (Manhattan) was not good. Food wasn't good. Prawn cocktail got sent back. Quiche was cold by the time we got our food. Plates came out at the wrong times. Salmon avocado toast doesn't have avocado, it's a thin layer of avo spread. And the salmon was very fishy. Only reason there's 2 stars instead of 1 was the free desert and comped valet parking. No, I do not recommend anyone eats (or drinks) here.

This Review is for the Sunday Brunch which sadly continues to go downhill and has now surpassed being a rip-off to being more of a joke. 2 stars for the wait staff who remain polite and attentive. Regarding the food quality and variety it really seems like Le Fontainebleau is trying to cut costs on all fronts. I have been going to this brunch since 2018 when it used to be my favorite in San Diego. After some time, I visited again for New Years Day and then once again last week since I couldn't believe the poor quality I experienced on New Years Day was the norm. A couple aspects now lacking: - Pastries are advertised as being a station, but now remain hidden and require constantly asking your sever who will bring you a measly assortment basket with 1 of everything (but no bread) - really awkward for a couple when you both want the same thing. This used to be a nice spread where you could browse and take at your leisure. - Brie is sadly not available anymore. - Mini doughnuts are advertised on the website (and used to be a thing) but when my husband asked he was told "No Doughnuts!" - The Asian section has dwindled to one food warmer of Shrimp Lo Mein - Trying to find the Shrimp Empanadas they supposedly serve is a wild goose chase - they don't exist. - Vegetarian Sides are a wide variety of hard old dry potato dauphinois and boiled vegetables. - Specifically on New Years: they seemed to be running out of champagne! In the end our server asked us if we would mind switching to Rose instead. Not only that, the quality is so poor that the only thing I enjoyed was the made to order omelette station. Everything is now bland, food hardly topped up, dry, old and unappetizing. Menu never changes, not even on New Years Day (when the price is increased). This low quality is in stark contrast to what I experienced in 2018 that I can only imagine something like a change in management must have happened. Either that or the Westgate is desperately cutting costs. With all that said, I won't be returning and I suggest you explore the other wonderful (and cheaper!) brunches San Diego has to offer.
