Le Jardin du Cuisinier was a restaurant that had been in my plans for a long time and was the only restaurant that I hadn't yet had the pleasure of visiting at VillageMall. Something always happened that didn't allow me to go there, and it stayed that way for almost 2 years. This time, I finally managed to visit this pleasant environment. The restaurant, as the name suggests, is of French origin and is Chef David Jobert's newest home. With classic French dishes, it takes us traveling through the Champs-Elysées without leaving Brazil. Each dish seems to be better than the other, highlighting the Chef's Surprise, in which the chef himself creates his menu in seven steps. I was promptly attended to by the maître d' as I still had some dietary restrictions and didn't want to overindulge. I was recommended this dish, the Dourado with Cashew Nut Crust in Provençal sauce with lemon risotto. What a wonderful dish. Very light and delicious. The cashew nut crust with this fish is a sensational combination. It was a great recommendation from the maître d'. Besides, he was super nice and talked a lot with us. And to complete the experience, we had the pleasure of meeting Chef David Jobert in a very relaxed and informal way. He was also super attentive and stayed talking to us for about 15 minutes. A chef who seems to have a huge heart and is one of those people you want to become friends with, you know? He made several recommendations to us and left me very excited to return as soon as possible. It's been a wonderful night.
