We had such a brilliant evening at Le Petit Vert and honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’d emailed ahead about my husband’s allergies, and from the moment we arrived everything was handled with such care and professionalism. The chef actually came out to speak to us, having already reviewed the menu, clearly highlighted what could be eaten safely, and explained what could be adapted. We’ve never experienced that level of thoughtfulness and efficiency before. It’s not unusual for restaurants to seem unsure or even turn us away when we mention his allergies, so this meant a huge amount to us and made us feel completely at ease. The restaurant itself is a real gem, cosy, beautifully decorated, and with such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout, especially the lovely young waiter who looked after us, he was fab. A special mention also to the bartender, who made fantastic cocktails and had such a lovely chat with us towards the end of the night, it really rounded off the whole experience. And the food itself is exceptional. 10/10! Some of the best small plates we’ve had anywhere, beautifully prepared, absolutely delicious and all vegetarian which is such a bonus! We were having such a great time that we stayed for drinks until nearly 10:45pm. A truly warm, accommodating and memorable experience. We’ll absolutely be back, maybe next time to try brunch! Brilliant set menu for Valentine’s Day. Great friendly service. Will definitely be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Dietary restrictions: All dishes can be made vegan upon request but there are also lots of vegan options on the menu.

Absolutely fantastic café, well worth a visit. We popped in for a coffee and were so impressed we ended up with a brunch! Absolutely ideal for vegetarians, but meat eaters won't even notice the lack of meat, the food is fantastic. They also have some of the best coffee around, and they offer take-out coffee as well for those days you don't have the time to sit in. I have a new go-to coffee spot! The best thing about it is the service. The staff are all lovely, and they really work to make the place feel homely and comforting. The environment is the complete opposite of commercial chain coffee shops; you really feel welcomed and valued, and there is no sense of being rushed at all. They're also dog friendly, so it's a great dog walk pit-stop, whether you sit inside or outside. Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian
