On vacation in the region, I choose “La bonne Franquette” for lunch. Arriving at 1:15 p.m., I noticed that as is often the case in this type of establishment, the entrance was blocked by regular customers camped out in front. The counter is stormed by those who all want to pay at the same time and those who have their coffee at the bar. Obviously none of these little people respond to my “Hello”. The boss sees me and tells me that there is only andouillette left (lucky because I like it), then leads me to the back, into the restaurant. The room is bright, clean, the decoration is sober. The tables are mostly occupied. I must say that I was very lucky because from the starter to the dessert, there was no more choice... So I had "what was left"... and I loved it ! As a starter, Tatin-style apple/andouille tartlet, on a bed of oak leaves (the combination of apple and andouille is very pleasant). As a main course, Andouillette, mash, green beans/mushrooms (artisanal andouillette, certainly made by a local tripier and homemade mash with still small crushed pieces... A delight! The slightly fatty and poorly seasoned green beans didn't appeal to me not convinced). As a drink, a small white foam, on tap (unpretentious, but easy to drink). For dessert, a cup of fresh cheese topped with a mandarin compote (the fresh cheese must also come from a local supplier because it reminds us of childhood - nothing to do with industrial supermarket fresh cheeses - and small tangerine zests candied are very tender. I really liked this refreshing and light dessert). Finally, the bill: €20.20 (beer, starter, main course, dessert, coffee). Orders taken and service carried out quickly. Attentive, helpful and responsive staff. Generous portions. Local and healthy products. “Homemade” from starter to dessert. Great discovery! I didn't give 5 stars because of the feeling when I arrived (not easy for the boss to raise awareness among the regulars...). I highly recommend this table!... On the other hand, remember to arrive early if you want to have a choice. Service: 5 Location: 4
