Life is Sweet is one of the most elegant sweet shops on Queen East set in an elegant house one walks up to through a lovely garden. The selection of pictured cupcakes, chocolates, tarts, cookies are made at the back while the pies come daily from Luscious D's. The attendant is a lovely person full of good knowledge. I had the delicious cheese scone in the lush garden.

Wonderful selection of regular size and mini cupcakes, their specialty, however lots of other yummy treats can be found. I was in a pinch to get dessert for a dinner party (I forgot to do this ahead of time). Ordered from Life is Sweet through Uber Eats and everything came beautifully boxed and wrapped with ribbon, and I didn't even request that. Right away I was happy with the look. When we opened the boxes after dinner everyone had a mini cupcake -- I heard all were good. Also cut up a a lemon bar and brownie to share that got complements. I had a lemon cupcake and found the sweetness just right with a strong lemon flavour and right amount of tartness. I'll return for more!

Fantastic bakery! I've been going there for almost 10 years. Everything is fabulous and the owners are just amazing! The only argument you'll have with them is when they want to give you something for free and you insist you want to pay. That's happened to me several times. These folks know how to treat a customer. And despite some saying their cupcakes are too sweet, they clearly are not. I would guess they have less sugar than average. There's one famous shop in the PATH system downtown that makes it's cupcakes so sweet that I've felt nauseous after eating one. This is clearly not the case with Life is Sweet.
