Disappointing Stay at Limonaia Butik Hotel – Lacking Care and Attention I spent 6 nights at Limonaia Butik Hotel in Alaçatı, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. Starting with **Room 305**, the bathroom was old and poorly maintained. Rust, heavy limescale buildup, and dirt covered the metal fixtures. The shower glass was so clouded with mineral deposits it appeared almost opaque—obviously never cleaned with an anti-limescale product. The lighting was dim, making the bathroom feel even less welcoming. Soap holders were mounted to the wall but couldn’t hold the shampoo bottles, which themselves were in a sorry state with peeling chrome and discoloration. Adding to the discomfort, the small balcony attached to the double room was dirty and had only one chair, hardly enough for two guests. By the pool area, the availability of towels was inconsistent—some days towels were provided, other days not. The staff seemed to hide away on their phones, making it difficult to request replacements. Although drinks and food were apparently available by the pool, no one informed us of this, nor was there any menu visible. The **restaurant staff** showed little attentiveness, often distracted by their mobile phones. For six straight days, we had to repeatedly ask for basic items like salt, despite multiple salt shakers being present but either empty or non-functional. Not once did staff bother to refill or check them. Breakfast was tasty but unimaginative and completely unchanged throughout our stay, aside from the jam flavor. What stood out most was the management attitude. The owner or manager seemed to live on-site in a prefab house at the back of the property with his family. Every day, without fail, they hosted personal guests who freely used the common areas and had food prepared and eaten on the porch. While it is perfectly legitimate for managers to have personal visitors, it becomes unacceptable when this directly impacts the quality of service offered to paying guests. Moreover, the staff were often tasked not only with serving these visitors but also acting as babysitters for the manager’s children when needed. This further distracted them from their duties toward hotel guests. Overall, the lack of care, poor maintenance, and indifference from both staff and management made for an underwhelming stay. Alaçatı has plenty of charming accommodations, but Limonaia Butik Hotel fell short on multiple fronts. It could have potential with better management and genuine attention to guests, but as it stands, I cannot recommend it. If you are looking for a couple stay, this is more a family with children hotel. Pool might be full of floating toys and children playing on the only corner accessibly.
