Very disappointing, horrible customer service and bland food. From the moment we arrived, the service felt unprofessional. The waitress was very impolite and unprofessional. She touched my napkins and cutlery with her wet hands leaving it damp and brown. While taking our order, she stood awkwardly and watched us while we were trying to decide, making the experience uncomfortable. I told her I was still looking and she just stood there. When we asked about the specials advertised on the sign outside, she did not answer the question and instead told us what the most popular dishes were. It felt as though she either did not hear us properly or was not listening to what we were asking. We were also not provided with glasses for our canned drinks which we requested. The food was equally disappointing. The spring rolls and everything on the platter were extremely oily and appeared not to have been drained properly. There was visible oil staining on the wrappers, which suggested the cooking oil had not been changed recently. I ordered the nasi goreng mild with no fresh chilli garnish. While it arrived without chilli, the dish had virtually no flavour at all. The flavour profile seemed completely off, the egg was overcooked, and the entire meal was very bland. I asked for chilli oil or chilli flakes in an attempt to improve the flavour, and the waitress was rude and dismissive when responding to my request. As I was unhappy with the meal and had barely eaten it, I politely asked whether it could be removed from the bill. Instead, the chef came out and stood over me with his arms crossed while asking what was wrong with the dish. I explained that the flavour was off and explained i didn’t want to pay for a dish i wasn’t satisfied with. He insisted it could be ‘remade’. The waitress then told me a replacement would only take “a couple of minutes”. As it was a restaurant meal, I found that surprising. I then decided I needed to leave and asked them not to continue making a replacement dish and instead remove it from the bill. Shortly afterwards, I observed the chef take my original meal, place it in a wok with additional oil, and transfer it into a takeaway container. There was no fresh egg or indication that a new meal had been prepared. It appeared that the original dish had simply been reheated. Despite this, the waitress repeatedly stated that the dish had been remade aswell as the chef. I was then told that I would still need to pay for the original dish and was later informed there would be an additional surcharge for the replacement meal if o wanted it remade like they said they would do in the first place. When I questioned this, staff became defensive rather than attempting to resolve the issue. Throughout the interaction, I remained calm, polite and respectful. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the same respect was shown in return. My partner ultimately paid the full bill, and I left in tears due to how the situation was handled. To make matters worse, the menu photos appeared to be AI-generated and did not accurately represent the food that was served. Good hospitality is about listening to customers’ concerns and attempting to resolve issues professionally. Instead, we felt dismissed, pressured and treated as though our concerns were an inconvenience. Based on this experience, I would not return and would not recommend this restaurant to others looking for quality food and customer service. Very disappointed and very overpriced. I tried taking caution knowing they were a small business and mutual respect was not shown. Staff were very intimidating and threatened me. Price per person: $40–60 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

This quaint little restaurant in the heart of Devonport really captures the essence of Asian cuisine. The food came very quickly and we did not have to wait long before there was a delicious plate of food in front of us. I particularly enjoyed the chilli prawn which was a perfect mix of spicy and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and great food. Would definitely recommend!
