Our waitress came to our table and was friendly enough, but seemed to be undercover annoyed at my questions to the menu. Well I was secretly annoyed at her lack of salesmanship. I first exclaimed to her that I was excited to see that the menu had listed that they had fresh cut fries. She quickly corrected me and said they no longer have those because "they sucked" and nobody liked them. Okay, now I know the kinds of people that live in Vernon, and they're all bottom-feeders that would rather have a crappy frozen-bag variety of fries rather than the real thing. Either that or the Log Cabin doesn't make their fries the right way because I know I can make some of the best mother effin fries in the world using peanut oil and my "Cool Daddy" at home. So show me the money.
When I ordered my plain jain burger with everything on it and then my friend ordered his Western Burger, she said "oooh yeah, good choice, that's one of our best burgers." So magically she just thought of that then instead of trying to upsell me while she had me asking questions from the menu? Strike 2.
So the burgers came out and by-George, they were an excellent burger. The bun was perfectly toasted. Meaning the outside diameter had a nice crisp ridge, the first inside half was barely toasted and then the very center bullseye part was toasted. This is how you toast a bun! The patty was somewhat overdone, although with the toppings on my burger, it added the liquidity that I needed to get that juicy effect, so no points taken off from me.
In the end, this was one enjoyable burger served with one completely average side of fries. My friend go the chili-cheese fries which he said were great due to the lack of being runny and actually staying on the fries. Lucky him to eat them, but I decided to spare my arteries for at least another 5 hours, haha.
