Have you ever been to a restaurant where, years later, you can still remember the taste of the food? The music, the waiter who served you, and the feeling of that evening? That is exactly how I will remember this place. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with the warmest smile. Before I even introduced myself, the owner already knew I was the person who had called earlier to let him know that the phone number on Google was incorrect. Honestly, I was already impressed before I had even tasted the food. We were seated with a lovely breeze surrounding us while authentic Greek music played in the background. You could hear laughter and Greeks enjoying dinner together. When you see so many locals eating at a restaurant, you know you’ve found the right place. Now, let’s talk about the food. The chicken was incredibly juicy with the perfect bite. The lamb skewer was beautifully seasoned and absolutely delicious. The spicy feta and the saganaki tasted authentically homemade. Every dish was prepared with care, and you could truly taste the quality of the ingredients. Thank you, to the two brothers of the restaurant, and your wonderful family, for making this such a memorable evening. I highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant if you want to experience authentic Greek cuisine and enjoy the Greek hospitality. I do have one small suggestion. The road leading to the restaurant is quite rough and feels a little off-road. When we drove down the bridge, we honestly started wondering if we were still heading in the right direction. A small sign saying, “Restaurant Iogari – 100 meters ahead,” would reassure visitors that they’re on the right track. I think many would appreciate this. Ευχαριστώ πολύ! Fantastic restaurant; set in amongst the olive groves in a sanctuary of tranquility and great food. From the moment t you arrive you’re made to feel truly welcome, a really family.type feeling. The menu is simple but the food is amazing local cuisine made with fresh ingredients that are cooked and served perfectly. A real treat of place I’d highly recommend anyone taking the time to visit. Sometimes you have a meal that changes the way you think about food. Yesterday I was lucky enough to experience that at Logari. We ordered the zucchini, tzatziki, and slow-cooked goat. I have never been the greatest fan of goat, but yesterday, that changed. The meat was buttery, the fat rendered into something almost silky, and the flavor carried that deep, faintly wild quality you only get from an animal that actually lived outdoors. Rich tomato, slow heat, and underneath it all, something untamed. The room could have been lifted straight from an Italian romcom: unhurried, warm, a little theatrical in the best possible way. The staff moved through it like they genuinely wanted to be there, which sounds like a low bar until you realize how rarely you actually feel it. This is not just a meal. It is the real thing, the kind of place that reminds you why you bother traveling at all. If you are on Crete, make the drive. Don’t think about it.
