Came through Lufkin today traveling through and wanted a really good home cooked breakfast, so my family picked this restaurant. Overall, I will give it a 3/5 stars. The restaurant itself has a very warm homey feel to it. It's self seating which was great. The food was also great! I truly enjoyed every bite I ate. The only downside to my experience here was that my husband ordered blueberry pancakes and was given regular. When the server brought them to the table I reminded her kindly that they were supposed to be blueberry. She took the pancakes and came back two seconds later with a handful of fresh blueberries put on top of the regular pancakes..... That's not blueberry pancakes. I also asked for hash browns with cheese and I received just hash browns, no cheese. However, again the food itself tasted great. The server also was really distracted at the beginning of our meal. She was conversing with a regular customer of hers and we were left waiting for awhile so they could arrange a drop off and exchange address at the table next to where we were sat. Other than the lack of service in the beginning and our food customizations not being correct it was 5/5. The food is very good & fresh! The waitresses are very friendly, efficient & extremely hard working individuals. The T-Bone Steaks are cooked to Perfection! A Must to order from one of your favorite servers at Lone Star Charlie's Family Restaurant in Lufkin, Texas! Oh and don't forget their popular Homemade Peach Cobbler topped with a scoop of Real Vanilla Ice Cream. I see you and the family at Charlie's!
