VERY expensive meals and very small portions with exception of the chicken breast meal we ordered. Chicken burger had a thin hard stringy piece of chicken that was almost inedible. Honestly why do you have to pay extra for chips with a burger??? Salads were not nice either so were left. Fish n chips tasted nice but small portion even for a tween. Ribs were supposed to be mix of the two flavours but only seemed to be the one flavour and again a smaller than expected portion for the excessive price. The chicken meals were tasty, and drinks good. Servers were lovely. It was nice & warm on a cold night outside. Won't be back though, 4/6 of us left very unsatisfied and when meals started around $34 its way too expensive for us. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We visited last night for our sons 18th birthday, I had mentioned this in the booking and expected there might be some mention of it for him. We ordered drinks for a table of 10 which had to be chased up after 30 minutes and a beer was forgotten about but had been paid for separately this was for the birthday boy, and had to be chased up. After an hour of waiting we recieved our meals, the Dixie chicken was bland but a good portion size and looked nice. My partner ordered steak which was cold when it arrived and the garlic butter wouldn't even melt on it. We ordered dessert thinking at least they might be quick but again there was a delay with these. The cheesecake was pretty average unfortunately but the chocolate pudding was nice. The staff were lovely and did appear to be doing their best but also seemed to lack communication between staff which is where some delays may have come from? Its disappointing because my son chose this as a venue for his birthday and I feel like we let him down especially after just celebrating my other son's 21st at another restaurant where they went absolutely above and beyond.

First time being at the Lone Star Invercargill, welcoming atmosphere and staff were very lovely. Food was delicious and well flavoured the chefs did an excellent job. Was attended by Chiara who was off the bat in being polite, bubbly, funny, attentive and well read at reading the play she had that night. As a waitress myself she had the right cues. Amazing at customer service. Overall experience was outstanding. Will be back. -Chloe Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
