Una de las atracciones turísticas locales, Presbyterian Church of St. Andrew, está justo al lado de este restaurante, y forma parte de la cultura más auténtica de esta ciudad. Recently attended Louis for a dinner party, the location and decor is lovely, beautiful indoor seating lovely outdoor area, and the lighting makes for a romantic setting Unfortunately the food was not what I expected for the price point, we had mixed reviews around the table, I personally had the blue eye cod which came in at $40 without sides. The real shame was the fish was actually still slightly roar in the middle which made for a very tough bite. Not the melt in the mouth fish I desired The steak and frits was quite underwhelming again for the price point $45 being the cheapest option for a 200g steak I’d recommend going on one of the specials nights, but yeah we won’t be rushing back for the food which is a shame Price per person: A$60–80 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The crab linguine was outstanding—perfectly al dente, with a rich, garlic sauce and well-proportioned and generous amount of seafood. The balance of flavour and texture showed a level of precision that’s often missing in dishes of this kind. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested (medium well, medium, and medium rare), and all three were served at the same time—no small feat, and a clear sign of a kitchen that understands timing and consistency. Each cut retained its juiciness without sacrificing the integrity of the sear. We were also served a house-selected sauce—we didn’t get to choose it, but it turned out to be an excellent pairing. On its own, it was deeply savoury, but when combined with the steak, it elevated the overall flavour beautifully. The prawn salad was refreshing and unique, with an interesting combination of pistachios and strawberries that set it apart from typical salads. The interplay of sweet and nutty elements was thoughtful, though the portion could have been slightly more generous—perhaps a few more leaves to round it out. The escargots were excellent, presented beautifully with a generous amount of oil. They were cooked evenly and tender, and the shells were clean—details that don’t go unnoticed and speak to careful preparation. Most of the staff were friendly and polite. The host who showed me to my table seemed a bit disengaged, but the rest of the team more than made up for it. One of the male waiters, in particular, was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, and kudos to him for making the experience so enjoyable, especially as it was my dad’s birthday. Overall, it’s clear the kitchen pays close attention to detail, and as someone who tends to be quite particular with both flavour balance and execution, I left genuinely impressed. Awesome food. I'm annoyed I haven't heard of this place sooner. Food was really well done. We had the tuna crudo, pate, tartare, escargot and blue swimmer pasta. All were done really nicely. Very well flavoured. Had the honey tart and the Panna Cotta for dessert. Both were also very well done. Minimal complaints. Good service. Price per person: A$60–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
