After having a hard time finding Loumar's location, we finally made it and I was so excited. The waiter welcomed us outside and luckily there were no customers yet so we comfortably chose our table. We ordered rice meals Lechon Kawali and Grilled Chicken BBQ (each comes with iced tea) and Cookies and Cream frappe overload. After 20 minutes we were surprised that the frappe was served first. The waiter hastily placed the frappe on our table despite that the drink was overflowing and he just left. A small plate under the large plastic cup could've been provided so that the droplets don't go directly to the table. Good thing there's tissue and maybe we should've explicitly told the waiter to serve the main course first.
Minutes after, the rice meals were served. Lechon Kawali is a must try! The chops were deep fried and the breading was crunchy, It is different from common dishes of its kind. Grilled Chicken BBQ is generously flavored with barbecue sauce. It is quarter-sized and I was satisfied but I still prefer their lechon kawali. Iced tea tastes like iced tea with a hint of sago't gulaman.
While we were finishing our meal, one by one the bits and chunks in the frappe were falling off. We put some in a plastic cup to lessen the mess. I was aloof that their Cookies and Cream frappe overload contains strawberry pretzels and strawberry syrup. It tastes milky and there are almost no cookie bits in the frappe itself. It has ice cream with waffle cone, stick biscuits, graham crackers, mallows, sprinkles, Choco Crunchies, Wiggles, mini-cookies, and a little bit of chocolate syrup. It tastes good in the first few sips but it gets draining. We even ordered French Fries just to taste something salty. Their fries comes with a cheese dip and is like garlic-parmesan flavored.
Loumar's Garden Cafe Sta. Rosa branch is a perfect place to hang out with friends and loved ones. You can talk there for hours without a waiter cleaning your table who implicitly asks you to leave. They have tables upstairs but shoes must be removed. It was hot when we entered but they eventually opened the electric fan once more customers got in. They were also starting to decorate for Halloween. I recommend Loumar's to everyone not only for the ambiance and food but also for their affordable prices.
