Fui con grandes expectativas a Marta. El lugar es muy lindo y acogedor. El servicio estuvo excelente . La comida también estuvo bien pero tal vez yo en lo personal esperaba un poco más. El cordero vino falto de cocción y lo tuvimos que enviar de vuelta a la cocina. La pasta con langosta estuvo bien pero no 10 puntos. El pollo y el risotto igualmente bien pero sin ser sobresaliente. Volvería porque el lugar me gustó mucho y es ideal para pasar una excelente velada. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I want to love this place and there were a few things that were great. Having been several times now, the experience is consistent between visits— Consistently mediocre without value. The drink list is creative and extensive, and while expensive, they use high quality ingredients and make wonderful cocktails. On the most recent visit the service was kind and cordial. The lobster salad was exceptional. One of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. The lobster was perfectly cooked and not at all rubbery. The flavors were bright and spot on. The restaurant’s success really ended there. The mussels were bad, not because of poor flavors, but because they tasted old. In a small pot of mussels— for which they charge $29– there were 3 that tasted, old, rotten, spoiled. This ruins the dish. Mussels are stored as live animals. If they die, they rot. You can kind of get away with using old mussels if none of them are dead before cooking. But these tasted bad. It’s unfortunate to ruin the whole dish with 3 that were clearly spoiled before being cooked. The pasta dish was heavy and gloppy with pasta noodles that were stuck together. I’m good at cooking dry pasta. This didn’t get stirred and was stuck together. The flavors were ok, but it was mostly heavy and unimpressive. But again, ruined by the detail of noodles being stuck together. Finally, the branzino was sloppily prepared. The flavors were good, but the skin was soggy while the flesh was overcooked. I think they were trying to achieve a crispy delicious skin but the flesh was dry and hard. Just not well cooked. The beans and flavors were nice but unfortunately the cooking ruined it. And one final, is that everyone pays by credit card. Who pays cash? So on top of already very high prices, they are charging a 3% credit card surcharge. If you need to cover the cost of credit card companies, don’t sneak in a nonsense surcharge; just charge more. It’s not that much, but it’s disingenuous. I’m sure it’s printed on the menu somewhere. I wish I had a better review, because I was really looking forward to the meal. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options. Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking, Paid street parking Kid-friendliness: Not a place to bring kids.

Marta Fine Food and Spirits was great. Stylish yet casual vibe with a lively, welcoming feel. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared — every dish hit the mark.
