Was craving Mod Pizza tonight and stopped in at the one at 2878 Kilgore Ave. Hampton, VA. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. Carter was the guy who made our pizzas and he greeted us politely and explained the garlic rub when I asked what that was. I prefer a pizza without red sauce so when he explained that it was chopped garlic mixed with olive oil I was sold. He mentioned it was his favorite as well. He went over the available toppings in detail as I asked about them. The entire experience was fantastic. You have a great employee and it's worth mentioning. It's rare these days to go into any food establishment and get that kind of service. Thank you Carter for making our night out a great experience. The last time I tried a place like this was Blaze Pizza in 2017 back in California and it was good. I was craving pizza tonight, but not your regular kind. I ordered here from grubhub and got an 11 inch thin crust with varying toppings. And let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS. Next time I'm getting take out, I'm getting from here again. Ordered 4 pizza’s. 1 out of the 4 was correctly made. I ordered a calexico that came with BBQ sauce instead of hot sauce. The hot sauce and ranch dressing was put on my son’s Caspian (supposed to be bbq), which he didn’t enjoy because of the spice. Both orders of the Caspians asked for “Light Gorgonzola” cheese. 1 pizza, the Calexico had light Gorgonzola, the Caspians were fully loaded to the point they looked green. Very disappointed that we spent all that money just to be unsatisfied. Probably will not be enjoying MOD pizza again for a while.
