I've been to Magic Curries for years and they consistently provide a welcoming homely atmosphere, friendly service and delicious, well-priced, food. Most recently the open fireplace burning on a cold Winter evening was much appreciated. Price per person: A$40–60 Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian options.

Our favourite curry house when in Hobart, Hidden away in Battery Point, it is in a beautiful location serving outstanding food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Tikka, Vegetable Biryani, Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Roti, Lamb Curry, Cheese Butter Masala, Lamb Biryani Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, so many I am always spoilt for choice.

Had a great dinner at Magic Curries in Hobart. The food was packed with flavour, every dish tasted fresh and well balanced without being over the top. You can tell the ingredients are quality, especially the spices and sauces which had a really authentic feel. The service was friendly and surprisingly quick, even while the restaurant was busy. Portions were generous and the pricing felt very fair for the quality of the food. Definitely one of those places you leave feeling satisfied and already thinking about what to order next time. Highly recommend if you enjoy proper Indian food with great flavour and a relaxed atmosphere. Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Many to choose from
