Haven't been here in ages. The paper card has been replaced by a credit card looking charge card. Before you would get seated by the hostess, now you just walk in and pick a seat. Decided to order a chicken pad Thai, stood there waiting for 3 staff guys behind the counter to serve me for a couple of minutes before they acknowledged me. Totally looked not happy to be there. When my food was cooked, sat behind the counter for a while longer while they discussed something or other before finally giving me my food. The pad Thai was actually good, and the oysters that my friend had, which were not chucked properly and still had oyster shell in it, nonetheless, they were delicious! It's cute for the experience, expensive, service lacked, food pretty good.

Mediocre food for a ridiculous price.

Where to grab a bite to eat after the afternoon ballet? Heard a lot about Marche and decided to give it a try. The place was busy like usual. Luckily we didn't have to wait for a table. The hostess nonchalantly passed us our "guest cards" for us to purchase our food. She didn't even bother seating us; "go find an empty table", she says and waves her hand as we pass by. There didn't seem to be any bus staff in duty as all the tables were pretty dirty. We just shook off the table cloth and sat down.

After flipping out table sign to reserved, we ventured out to see what food was available. Pasta was about $15 a plate; pizza was close to the same price; nothing seemed to stand out. After several times of looping around, we decided on salmon and leek quiche for $6.99 and a large salad for $9.99. The quiche was ok; it wasn't dry but still had a fishy taste (which is weird, because it's salmon). For the salad, the server gave us an empty plate and we could pile as much as we liked onto the plate. The key is to layer the base with all the wet and small bits; then pile on the veggies. I walked back to the table with a mountain of salad! It seemed to be the best deal as that salad plate fed two people.

I don't quite understand the appeal of this place. It's like a buffet where you have to go get your food. You then have to go up and pay. There is no service except bus people. So why are the prices so expensive???

It's a nice date place, but don't go hungry.
