I remember when I was little going there and getting chicken legs and the potato wedges they had and that salad bar. I wish I could go back one more time to when the restaurant was up and running daily. Thank y'all for the great memories.

This Restaurant is now retired. Now there is only the occasional spaghetti dinner for the "usual suspects ". The "usual suspects" are the friends and family of J.W. and Barbara Markham. These two, put their hearts and souls into making sure this community was fed well. Through the years children, sisters, nieces, even grand children have worked at the "Store" as we Markhams affectionately call it. There were many other loyal employees that kept Markham ' s restaurant a name, though officially closed for years now, that no one in the area will soon forget. I'm a bit biased though because I am a Markham, I'm one of the nieces /cousins who at one time waited tables between jobs. I am Gwen Holt, Brenda ' s daughter. I grew up in that restaurant and have so many awesome memories of hanging out with my cousin, Rodney, to my Uncle Jay's unforgettable Superbowl parties. My favorite thing on the menu: center chicken breast and an order of tators. I know many people in this community have just as great of memories.
