Myself and wife went there last night. We were seated promptly , water placed on table with salsa and chips. You would think that the menu will be handed to you along with drink request. Never happened. An older couple behind me had been there some time before us and had their menus and waited for server to take order. A older man walked around playing music and singing. He came to our table and asked what we would like to hear. Told him anything,he played and I gave him a few dollars and said Thankyou.other tables he played for never gave him anything. We were there 1o minutes and a table of 5 seated 10' from us. So I tell my wife if they get menus before us we leave. So we are there now 15 minutes and menus were given to the other table. We getup and leave and go up the street to TGIF..had beers (maya cocina has yet to get liquor license) appetizers, main entrees, and a good experience with fast correct service. Spent $75. At Friday's Which included a 20%+ tip. Probably will never go back to Maya cocina. There are other Mexican joints in the area that have good service and food.

Authentic Mexican food and good vibes at the bar. If you like margaritas, this is your spot, for sure. Great for happy hour, or for a dinner with family and friends. And on Cinco de Mayo, it's sooooo awesome. There's live music, and the atmosphere is so much fun. Highly recommended. =)

Came here when the name was different about 7 yeasr back. I believe it's the same owners as before. The food was great. My wife had the xin xc fish which was a very unique taste. I had the shrimp Chimichangas. the shrimp was under-cooked but it still tasted good. the mariachis sang nice and didn't bother anyone who didn't want to be bothered. the bar has happy hour deals but only for people dining there. over all it was a good experience.
