Prices were reasonable, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. The service was average at best. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, it was clearly understaffed. There was no one at reception, and only one staff member attending to the floor. The same waiter who took our order also assisted in the kitchen, which resulted in a long wait — nearly an hour — for what were meant to be quick meals (a tramezzini and a wrap). While the tramezzini and wrap were tasty, much of the menu was unavailable. We were informed that the entire Thai menu wasn’t being offered, and several other items were also unavailable. After asking for four different items that couldn’t be served, we eventually had to settle for light meals. The waffle was particularly disappointing — it was undercooked, served WITHOUT the fruit listed on the menu, and no alternative was offered. The cream was also off. When this was brought to the waiter’s attention, the response was simply oh sorry , and the uneaten , off item was still charged for. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations. Service: 2

Booked and paid for accommodation in March, checked in on the 24th which was meant to be a 2 day stay. Upon check in I am told there’s is zero electricity in the area, when asked about a back up generator I am told that this is only used when there are multiple guests checked in, at this point I am the only guest so they won’t put it on. When asked where the other guests are, I am told that they have been moved to the other hotel within the group. When I asked why I wasn’t notified of this - Brindell and Lyle could not give me an answer. I requested an immediate refund to which I was told and promised that the electricity issue will be resolved the next day and they will accommodate me accordingly. Woke up the next morning around 5am - the whole area is lit up outside except for Humewood Hotel. When I went downstairs to check, a guy with dreadlocks, track pants, beanie, no shoes and socks was sleeping on the couch - I honestly thought this guy was squatting and broke in the night before. He then ran around looking for the security guard to switch the lights on. Upon my unscheduled check out, I requested with Matthew to please start the refund process as I will now need to find alternate accommodation. I sent mails and made calls with no response. Thursday 26 before my flight, I went down to the hotel to find out why nobody has responded or come back to me - Matthew said someone will call me. It’s almost a week later, numerous calls and follow up mails with zero response - FYI this was a corporate booking and this is how they respond. My advice to anyone wanting to visit this hotel - PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. The service is horrible and staff who work their just couldn’t be bothered. Service: 1

Had an excellent experience at The Humewood Hotel! The service was warm and professional, the venue was clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet classy. The staff went out of their way to make everything seamless. Definitely a top choice in PE....highly recommended! Service: 5
