A gem in ipoh. Good food, unique taste. Ordered the Grouper fillet with Pineapple sauce, Fish in a Bag, Lamb Shoulder mint sauce, Aglio olio and all taste good. Kombucha yuzu also quite nice just a little pricy and the berries smoothie superb!! will revisit for the Red Snapper dish and maybe try their mushroom soup in next visit. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Truffles cabonara was good , jacket potatoes are ok , only the sandwiches were not for me , too sloppy . I don’t like it . Drinks are good , but please don’t serve the spoons anymore , the paint on the spoon is coming off . It’s really unhygienic. Service was very good, the Indian girl work at the barista has a great observation , we sit under the Aircond was too cold , she noticed that and asked if we would want to turn low the Aircond . Overall, great services . Meal type: Lunch Price per person: RM 60–80 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Had the chance to dine at Meatings on my birthday, and overall it was a really satisfying and memorable experience. From the moment the food arrived, you could tell that a lot of attention was given to both presentation and quality. The meats were definitely the highlight perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavour. Each bite was rich and well-seasoned, with a nice balance that didn’t feel overwhelming. You can really taste the freshness and the effort put into preparing the dishes. What I appreciated most was how consistent everything was. The sides complemented the mains nicely, and nothing felt like an afterthought. The textures, flavours, and portioning all came together really well, making the meal feel complete and satisfying. The ambience of the place also adds to the experience. It has a more premium, slightly upscale vibe, making it suitable for date nights, small celebrations, or special occasions. The service was smooth and attentive, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. That being said, this is definitely not a budget-friendly spot. The pricing is on the higher side, and you’ll feel it, especially if you’re ordering multiple dishes. It’s the kind of place you go to when you’re ready to indulge a little rather than for a casual everyday meal. Overall, Meatings delivers on taste, quality, and experience. If you’re a meat lover and don’t mind spending a bit more, it’s definitely worth trying at least once. I’d personally come back again for a special occasion or when craving a really good, hearty meal.
