We recently held a company workshop at The Melbourne Hotel, using Karingal 2 for a group of approximately 60 people, followed by drinks at De Baun & Co. This was our second time holding a workshop at the Melbourne Hotel, and once again the experience was excellent. A special mention must go to Lisa, who I worked with from start to finish. Our booking went through several changes along the way, including changes to dates and arrangements, and she was incredibly accommodating throughout. She was always on top of the details, responsive and willing to help, which made organising a larger corporate event so much easier. On the day, everything ran smoothly. The room was well prepared, the team was friendly and attentive, and the tea, coffee, water and treats were kept topped up throughout the workshop without us having to ask. All the little details were taken care of, allowing us to simply focus on the event. Our attendees then moved to De Baun & Co for drinks afterwards, where the friendly service continued and it was a great way to finish the afternoon. Organising an event for around 60 people comes with plenty of moving parts, and the Melbourne Hotel team handled ours exceptionally well. A huge thank you to Lisa and the entire team for making the process so easy and the day such a success. Having now held two workshops at the venue, I would happily recommend the Melbourne Hotel for corporate events and would certainly return again.

The Melbourne is always our go to when we have events in our around Perth. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and always go above and beyond. My partner accidentally left her charger in the room after a recent three night stay. The following day the front desk made contact and let us know housekeeping had found it and would keep at reception for our collection, very helpful! The room service menu caters for all and some of the food was of better quality than the local eateries. We have another stay this Sunday night for the football, that’s 4 nights in the space of two weeks if this is anything to give you an idea of how good the hotel is. Rooms are modern, rain shower is roomy and perfect to unwind. The only drawback I found were the TV channels eg no fox footy footy and hard to find the free to air but if that’s the only complaint, we can easily live with that! Service: 5

I booked this hotel to treat myself with a nice, unique accommodation for my birthday. It certainly was unique—though unfortunately in a thoroughly negative sense. I had booked a suite. On both stays, the room’s cleanliness left much to be desired; it was worn and did not match the photos shown on the website. Due to a forecast storm, we had to leave a day early to ensure we could still make it to Rottnest Island. We have informed the staff of this immediately upon check-in, and it was confirmed again the following day. After consulting the manager, we were told at check-out that for our next stay (scheduled for two days later), we would receive a credit equivalent to the cost of the unused night, which could be used for breakfast or bar charges (a very nice offer, because we‘ve booked non refundable rates). Ten minutes later, I received an email stating that this was not the case and I would not receive a credit. A friend traveling with me, however, received an email stating that she *would* receive a credit. Upon checking in again, we were told that the credit could only be applied to the room rate—which made no sense, as all rooms had been prepaid. The manager was unavailable at the time of check-in, so the matter could not be resolved. In subsequent email correspondence with the Front Office Manager, Ms. Prabina Limbu, it was insinuated that we had misinterpreted the statements because our English was poor. This is absolutely outrageous, as I speak fluent English and understood everything perfectly. In reality, the hotel is in a state of organizational chaos, with different information being given to different staff members. I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances and would never set foot in this place again. Service: 1
