This place has a few good dishes. Make sure you always check your order when doing take out, they always miss things. I truly dislike having to open up my order in the car to make sure everything is in there, but it's a must. They are very cheap with their tzatziki. I ordered $100 worth of food, and they shorted me two tzatziki's and charged me extra for one. As you can see from the picture, RAW chicken was also served. Also when ordering a gyro, don't get the platter just get the gyro sandwich, all you are getting is fries for $14, save yourself the money. I feel sick now. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Been gatekeeping this gem for far too long Meltemi in Ridgewood is an absolute MUST - as a Greek diaspora who travels to Greece most summers, I mean this when I say: this is my favorite restaurant with the best, most authentic, truly fantastic greek food in the entirety of the USA. Giorgios and his team are making food that physically transports us to Greece, seriously so amazing that you cannot tell the difference. Specifically some of our favorites are the whole squid fried calamari, absolutely divine just like you are getting them fresh off an island in the Aegean, likewise the pork souvlakia (get the kalamakia), he must be importing the pork because there is no matching the tenderness and crispness - it is like you are back in the xwrio at your local psistaria. The venue is fabulous especially now summer weather can sit outside folks 11/10 the best seriously go you will not regret it!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
