What a hall of whimsy! It should be called Belk Whimsy Hall hahahaha. While the food is sub par (although I do recommend the Rotten Grape dish), the atmosphere is one of a kind! It's like Hairy Potter but instead of floating candles it's a bunch of flies whispering little secrets into your ears. I'm tickled to have experienced Belk Dining Hall for myself. First of all we haven't eaten off of actual plates since the first week of January. We've been eating off of paper plates and drinking out of paper cups. The food isn't that good, the chicken is either dry or burnt, along with the rice that is often undercooked and crunchy. I was once served still frozen french toast sticks. I also once had yogurt after breakfast hours and was sick for the next two days. Often times the soda machines will be broken and the soda will taste watered down, and sometimes the sweet tea tastes like they haven't cleaned the containers in a while. Not only am I disappointed in the quality of service but also the quality of the food, this is a private school that has raised over a million dollars in donations. Where does the money go???
